I saw this watch eat 500g of pe8 and continue to work.

It's a very nice watch, the colourful design speaks to me, but there there things I personally would change about this watch: 1. Add some brushing to the case as you said. 2. Make this a 40 mm instead of 42 3. Include FKM straps instead of Silicone, simply can't wear them. Marloe are doing a certified pre-owned thing like Rolex do 😄

It’s nonsensical to write “Black edition” on the dial. I have eyes - I can see it’s the black edition. Model names ideally should be on case backs if anywhere, as they serve no functional purpose. Having movement type and WR rating serves a functional purpose which is why I prefer stuff like “Automatic. 200m” in that negative space below the pinion. At least the other models list “10ATM” but that’s a pretty low rating for a dive watch.

Im a huge Chronograph Fan, and a stickler on Dial Layout, from Colored Sub-dials to sub-dial spacing an Layout. While I normally like to stay around the 40 to 42mm Case size, this Smaller one with the Rotational Bezel really nails it. Just the right amount of Color used but not overly Done. I do wish these microbrands doing Chronographs.. would start using both the Moonphase comp instead of the standard "Boring" 24hr Sub-comp. Also want to see more Chronos with the "Fast Runner" Complication aka "1/10" counter. That extra action when the Chronograph is engaged is Cool even though it runs for just 30 Secs. Some examples are the Gigandet Race King (which are hard to find nowadays) about Vintage Chronograph has this feature as well.. and any Ronda based Chronographs use it as well...... ie Victorinox, Swiss Army, Technomarines (Pre-Invicta) some Movados and Glycine Combat Chrono etc.

I'm not knocking your points in this video at all, but it boggles my mind how people don't realize watch size is directly proportional to wrist size. Exactly as you said, if your wrist is over a certain diameter, move up a size. People are like, "It's too small for me..." Okay, how big are YOU? It's so odd. Having a 6.5" wrist, this watch is amazing, and I'm so happy that Marathon offers multiple size options. Outstanding watch for the right wrist!

Just got mine (blue, and I got it for $275), and it is a really well made watch. Wears smaller than 42mm, which makes me happy. Love the resistance of the internal bezel, and both crowns screw down on mine.

(*This watch features Mont au Sources in the Drakensberg on its caseback). Benguela - an ocean current on SA's west coast. Kruger - the major national park in SA. I would guess that owner Mike is a "Saffer". Nice watches at very keen prices. I wonder how Mike gets a supply of an ETA movement from the Swatch Group in Switzerland... Kudos to him, though!

I think these would get more attention if they were smaller. The 51mm L2L in particular is going to be a deal breaker for anyone with wrists 6.5" or smaller. Shave that down to 48mm, and a lot more people could wear them. That inner bevel on the lugs looks great, it's too bad Monta dumped that feature when they decided to cost cut and decontent the new Ocean King. I think these are nicer than OK now.

Titoni keeps knocking it out of the park. The Seascoper is on my short list for when I get my masters degree.

Really looks nothing like an explorer 2. The GMT hand is a bit if a nod to it but almost every other design cue is different. Edit. Just seen you've addressed that no one agrees with you.

Imthink this one is a home run for Ball. A traveler’s GMT for that price is an incredible value, especially with COSC Certification. The butterfly clasp seems adequatw to me given the specs for the specs this watch has. Cheap….no, good value for an amazing watch…yes.

Definitely not a homage of the Explorer 2. A tiny bit of Explorer 2 DNA in there but then again lots of companies are using orange for a GMT hand nowadays so maybe not even a direct link there.

I forgot that Rolex owns black dials, GMT numerals on a bezel, and the color orange. So clearly anything that also has that is borrowing from Rolex design. You can't have a black dial and be original. You can't use a date magnifier and be original. If you use a 24-hour scale on a bezel, that's not original because Rolex. Never mind that Glycine had a black dial and a 24-hour scale on a steel rotating GMT bezel before the GMT-Master existed, Glycine somehow reversed time and homaged Rolex before Rolex made a GMT. :::Giant eye roll:::

So apparently, I caused a little uproar here, referring to this watch as an homage to an Explorer II. If you don't agree, that is okay, but I took the true definition of homage, not homage which is a copy with a different brand name. To me, this is definitely inspired by the Explorer II, as it has the same steel, colors, can be had with a stainless bezel, has a date magnifier, orange GMT hand, is a true GMT, etc. I never meant to imply that this piece is a direct ripoff, I even say that in the video. *Also, I want to add a correction-the steel bezel is lumed, it looks to be lumed half with regular C3 lume and the other half with black lume. So both bezels are lumed on the Ball Outlier.

Love the design, but not the emphasis on polished surfaces. I agree with you, and wish they made a version of this with more brushed or matte surfaces. Make one for the bling crowd and one for the tool watch crowd.

This is not a Rolex homage! A homage is a copy but with different branding. A replica is an exact cosmetic copy with fake branding.

i dont mind butterfly deployant clasps on a dressier watch, but on a tool watch i'd want something more secure
